30 days of biking - day 01
A beautiful morning for a ride, at near freezing temperatures. Here began a 63 mile bike ride in aid of Action Medical Research. Ahead lay a stunning route through the city of Bath and the rolling English countryside.
It coincided with the first day of 30 days of biking - encouraging all of us to get on our bikes throughout the month of April, no matter how big or small the reason.
Day 02 will certainly be a little less intense…
Rewarded with the view over Chew Magna this evening, catching the last of the extra hour’s sunlight. It was a horrible hill to climb, but all suddenly felt worthwhile.
Take your first ride and you’ll feel like you’re riding on the wind. It’s as if you’re rushing through the air on a cushion of nothing. The lack of gears and the control that lie within you make you feel as if you’re not on a vehicle. You’re one with the pavement as if connected. It’s a very pure feeling that I can only possibly compare to surfing.
Why fixie riding today is what Skateboard culture was to the 80’s. I can see myself joining in before long…
New track…Monsters at Night
Axel puppet update
Friends with talent… leather puppet tattoos!
I’ve started the torso tattoos…
Once the tooling is finished I’ll shape and stitch the torso so it looks less…square
Simple but profound, I couldn’t agree more.
Thanks to Oli in the studio at Taxi for sending me these.
